Oh this is getting better every week. After a long slog in work this week and the shitty rain that hit the North Shore sea level residents (that means powder on the slopes :)) meaning that I wasnt getting out on my bike, along came a sunny Thursday and a nite ride with the Rocky Mountain guys to put a smile on my face. This Thursday nite crew is starting to take shape. The numbers are getting better each week and I can see me enjoying this right up to the summer season.
This week we hit some of Lynn Valley and Lower Mount Seymour. All of the trails were great and what better way to learn them but first time down in the dark…haha. It was a good 25kms in the bag by the end of it. A big thanks to Pete, Ken, Joe, Alex, Connor and Andreas. Andreas was our ‘Trail Boss’ this week and is a former Olympian that battled it out in the 1996 Atlanta Games against Irish riders Alastair Martin and Martin Earley in that baking heat. He’s also the man behind BC Bike Race.
Im California bound next month and already have plans organised to ride bikes with the Irish Crew from Huntington Beach. Plans to hit Laguna, San Juan and some other exciting stuff. Then it will be no time til im back in Dublin ready to bang out rides with ‘Team Awesome’ and the OC Tuning/Solid/Fox Racing Enduro/DH/XC posse..hahaha.
Good Times ahead:)
